Are you sure that is not a model number?
Most Fords are a letter then 6 numbers.
A, L, C and M serials we can decode if it starts with V then we can't

Suggest you remove the unit for a visual check of serial

The battery died in my old mondeo, the model number is 6000ne, the serial number is m118064 ys4f-18c815-aa
I dont know if thats the right information hopefully it is

You could try holding 2 + 5 or 2 + 6, this SOMETIMES goves the serial.
If not the yep afraid so
