Hello,

I am new to this so hopefully I am doing this right!!

I need the security code for my car radio as the battery was taken off and have no music for months!!!
I have seen that alot of people have been given this on here by giving their serial number and make and model so was wondering if anyone could get this for me as well please?

I have a Vauxhall Astra W reg and the radio model is a Delco (CRD500 (E) )
The serial number is GM1500Y9338381

where do i find the serial code on the radio? it is a 6000cd something or other!

same story as most....new battery!

If you are lucky then pressing buttons 2+6 will show the serial.
If not you will have to remove it, serial on a label should be M plus 6 numbers

Unfortunately DELCO codes are not obtainable for free (using the Serial Number) from anywhere on the Internet as access is required to the original factory database which is only available to the Main Dealer or one the larger professional Decode Services.

The alternative is for your radio to be taken/posted to a Decode Service or your local Car Radio / Audio Shop who will plug it into a laptop and electronically read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM)
