Are rover codes hard to get hold of?

Whereas Ford + Blaupunkt (and others ) codes are mathematically calculated using software , Rover codes are not ;they are listed on a database. As you can imagine , the full database is mega-massive and is mainly held by official Rover dealers (Some of the larger Professional Decode Services also have access to this large database via a trade (Rover) source .)

The databases that are commercially available are various and much smaller ( They only hold the codes for older radios) ......hence the problem in finding a free or cheap source for a code.

I've tried downloading a program to work the code out but it turned out to be a trojan horse!!
