Did you remove the unit to get serial or take if from vehicle paperwork?
If you have physically looked at the unit then chances are the unit has been recoded in in the past.

If so, afraid its a Decoding Service or your local Car Radio / Audio Store who will connect a laptop to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM)

When we got our nissan and we needed the code, we phoned the head office, traced the car back to the garage who sold the car from new and they gave us the code, free over the phone! :D

Kenwood codes are not normally available for free from anywhere on the Internet.

If your radio has a remote control then try emailing

    restoredclassic@aol.com

as they may be able to help

Mention this forum and there should be no charge

If the garage provided all this for free , then you were very lucky as most garages will charge for this (plus VAT )..the only common exception appears to be Volvo.

(The highest price that I know of that has been quoted is £150 plus VAT from a BMW Dealer...just for looking it up on a database. ! )
