Car Radio Unlocking

hi ive just sold my ford escort estate and realised the radio needs its code- i disconnected the attery-long story. the lady is picking car up in morning. i have no idea about cars!
i dont have a manual either.
i have found this number but no idea if it is useful?

It is a p reg 1997 estate? the radio is just a tape player and radio a little bit of the front comes off next to the key code button- currently it flashes my registration number?? The radio says 5000 rds e on-
ive downloaded the program to get the code but cant get my serial number- how do i remove the radio?????i need to do this asap- and dont have any proper tools
please help me

yes 'motorcare leeds limited' open seven days!
oil,filters,plugs,and levels and new battery £160 plus vat
but ive tried my wireless tonight and the !!!!!! wont work!
and according to the garage its down to me to re-enter the
code,but the code 2332 that is written in the book that came
with the car wont work??
