Just fitted a new battery to my Astra, only to discover the radio's locked and I didn't get the code when I bought it 4 years ago...
The radio is a CDR 500 (E), and the serial no. is GM050021337911. Various other numbers on the label, but this is the one stamped into it. I can send a copy of the label if needed.

Unfortunately the majority of SIEMENS/VDO /DELCO codes (including your CDR 500 ) will NOT be available for free (or cheap) from anywhere on the Internet as access is required to the original factory database…which is not commercially available..

Try your Main Dealer or a Decoding Service or your local Car Radio / Audio Shop (who are normally the cheapest option) who will connect it to a laptop to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM)
