Danhilier has the radio ever worked? theres a chances its been recoded by ford before and the original serial will not apply.

Unfortunately only a very few VW radio codes are able to be calculated (for security reasons !)

Try code 8346 and if this does not work then it will NOT be available for free from anywhere on the Internet.

Main VW Dealer or a Decoding service only
