Pet Insurance Dilemma - Help needed

I have a two year old English Springer Spaniel, who has been insured with Healthy Pets since he was three months old, the policy is due for renewal, but I am horrified that the premium has gone up from £16.40 a month to £33.58! - I have made no claims on the policy either.
So, I've spent the day trawling the net for another provider, and have narrowed it down to two:
Sainsbury's Option 2 (£7500 vet fees) @ £15.00 a month
M & S Premier (£7,000 vets fees) @ £16.68 a month
Now my dilemma is, do I go for the Sainsbury's £7,500 per condition policy, or the M & S £7,000 a year policy?????

Move over to the pets board where there are specific threads on insurance. You must ensure that you purchase a policy that covers your dog for life with an annual limit per condition rather than an overall limit for each condition. These will cost a bit more, but will give you peace of mind that your springer will still be insured into old age, which is generally when a lot of them experience problems with joints.
Our old girl lasted until she was 15 but had problems with joints for several years before that particularly because she was a typical springer who could never sit still. Medication towards the end was in excess of £50 per month so good insurance cover was a must.0
