lost my master disc

we lost our master disc, for dell pc. we also cannot use our mircosoft word. when we use it, it said its not signed to current user.

why is that, or would it mean paying £££ for new mircosoft word etc

Do you mean you lost your Recovery Disk (CD)? Have you just had to do a recovery?

Dell computers quite often come with a Recovery "Partition" on the Hard Disk, so you don't need to use CDs (except to install drivers that are missing).

Give us some more details about your computer (model, Operating System e.t.c. and we might be able to help (I have a dead Dell up in the loft but the disks down here!)

If it's just that you've got a problem with using Word, don't worry, - use Open Office instead.
