Hubby's just recently had major operation and housebound. I can't drive and fed up shopping daily which works out a lot more expensive, so decided to grocery shop on line (1st time user). Took me a while to get the hang of finding items etc., but got there in the end. My order was delivered right at the beginning of time slot & driver was very friendly and helpful. So impressed with Tesco's :Tthat I'm going to carry on shopping on line for my BIG shop. Well worth the delivery charge & all done from comfort of my own home. :j

I am very pleased that you found satifaction with Tesco online shopping. My partner and I felt exactly the same when we first started to use Tesco online shopping.
However I really do feel I have to warn you that you can look forward to a decline in the Tesco online service as the weeks pass by.
You will begin to expierence missing items, unordered goods in place of items you wanted, wrongly or changed prices on items, even though Tesco sends a confirmation email to accept the original price.
And I should add that you can expect very little help or satisfaction should you consider lodging a complaint with Tesco online customer support.0 -
Glad you had a good experience. My first shop (after being sent a code for £10 off it), hadn't had the £10 discount applied so I sent the whole lot back with the driver. Can't abide companies who offer something unasked & then fail to follow it through.0

It may just be some areas surfbay, I have shopped online with Tesco 2 or 3 times a month for a few years now. I very rarely have substitutes and the drivers are brill at pointing them out. I honestly have nothing but praise for the service, they delivered to me during the worst of winter days, the drivers are always chatty and helpful and all of the discounts correctly applied. I may be the exception to the rule I suppose, but bet it depends on which area you live in;)0 -
I agree with EllaKeat, I've been using Tesco Online for about a year now and still haven't had any problems. I've heard equal good and bad about all the supermarkets who offer online shopping- it seems to depend on your area.
My delivery drivers do tend to turn up right at the end of my delivery time but it doesn't bother me. I've had a couple of substitutions as well, both of which were fine.
I don't drive either and live quite a walk from town, so online shopping is great for me. I do have to top up from the nearest Tesco Metro which is more expensive but I save a fair bit on my main shop so can't really complain. This month I tried ordering as many Tesco value items as possible to try with the attitude I'd go back to a more expensive brand if I didn't like it (had to be careful as some value items are more expensive!!) and I managed to save £10 :T0 -

I've used them a couple of times recently and the last time I had 10 items missing. I got a phone call apologising and telling me that my delivery wasn't up to their usual standard and they would send me a £5 voucher towards my next shop
It never arrived despite my phone calls asking where it was.
I don't use their delivery service any more. It's a waste of my time if I have to go out shopping after they only deliver some of the stuff.0
