white wire

Hello everyone

I have a white cottage. I want to put up wires along the walls to support climbers. All the wire I can find is green, which is a bit unsightly on white walls. Does anyone know where I can find white wire? Or any suggestions for alternatives? Your help will be much appreciated.

I have got a small amount which I brought back from France where it is quite common as there are a lot of pale stone houses. I used it on my house when I lived there but there is not much left I'm afraid. There must be some available in the Uk as there is a lot of white painted houses or stone ones like in the Cotswold area.

They have galvanised wire in Wilkinsons, which is a little less obvious than green.

Wire rope can be bought in all sorts of thicknesses and would perhaps suit.

Depends on how much you want, but you could use lace curtain wire for a small area?

Or for longer lengths look at electrical component suppliers:

The picture is of a brown wire but they do white. You might have to ring to find out the strength, diameter, etc but they are generally a good company to deal with.

Finally, how about a plain trellis painted white?

    You could use string.

Why don't you try really high poundage eg 50/60llb fishing line, this would be virtually invisible.
