Adapter for a webcam - bright ideas wanted!

The picture shows the side view of a "Logitech Webcam Pro for Notebooks", and the clip fits nicely onto the thin top edge of a laptop. However, it won't fit onto the much fatter top edge of LCD monitors. Logitech do not do a monitor adapter, unfortunately.
Has anyone come across any form of adapter (hopefully rather more sophisticated than Blu-Tack® !) which would enable a solid but removable connection to the top of an LCD monitor (which is about 2.5 cm, 1", deep)?
Creative but practical ideas invited!

A strip or 2 of Duct-Tape will fix that!! ^_^ lol!!
It might be as simple as getting a few lego bricks and taping them to the top of the monitor giving the clasp something to grip...Laters

I'm guessing you probably don't want to take a hacksaw to it, right? If you did and took the "lump" off the left side (as in the photo) and the bottom half of the right, would that open it out to about an inch?
No, I wouldn't do that either, as it would certainly void the warranty. However, have you looked at modifying the desk stand that comes with it? If you can find a piece of plastic channel that will fit firmly over the top edge of the monitor, cut down the desk stand and hot-melt glue it onto the plastic channel.
[Please be careful with your experimentation - as you probably know, a screen edge connector runs across the top edge of an LCD monitor, and they can be permanently damaged with too much pressure on the front of the screen surround...]0 -
