Safety glasses, gloves, chip 'em off and start again.0

Thanks, but I can't face doing that!If you don't leap, you'll never know what it is to fly :heartpuls0

Why not? I've just done it with ceramic tiles. Anything else you'll consider a bodge.0

Yes,but not on every single wall of your room.Floor to ceiling.
This bit I am prepared to bodge. The tiles are large about 15 inches by10If you don't leap, you'll never know what it is to fly :heartpuls0 -
Rough them up for grip, and put some bonding plaster then finish on?0

You get back what you put in I'm afraid. No easy option to get a good finish here. I'm with the 'rip 'em off camp.
You might be able to use floor to ceiling wallboards to cover them up with .... they come in all colours now but it would be pricey to do a whole room.Herman - MP for all!

If they are well stuck on you could tile over them and/or get some of the catering stainless steel sheet panels to fix over them for an ultra modern look. The problem is with it being the entire walls as you may not want tiled/panelled walls so chipping them off might be the only solution - very therapeutic once you get going! However chipping them off will leave rough walls, bits of tile adhesive still in place etc so the next job is likely to be reskimming the walls.Adventure before Dementia!0

Brings back memories of my Mum.
She was a Fablon fiend, if it stood still...it got the works. :rotfl:
We had a whole kitchen covered in the stuff....the units, the fridge etc etc...all covered in 'tasteful' teak effect Fablon.
It's not a good look once it starts peeling at the edges.

I have been told that when we take them off,big chunks of plaster are likely to come off with them,so it will be a bit more than skimming maybe. The whole house is being modernised,I just don't want this job to be too big.I am also looking to go for a country style kitchen or retro look so nothing to modern.Difficult aren't I???
