Thailand flight-when to buy?

I'd like to fly to Bangkok in january.
Should I buy a ticket now or wait?

Also I'm not sure when I'll be coming back.
I intend to do some travelling from there. So do I buy a regular ticket with an open return date?
Or an OZ ticket with stopover?

Comments

  • i think you should buy now i presume there are sales going on. get a stopover ticket because tickets from thailand arent as cheap as they used to be. january is a busy time to go and its peak time over there

Last year I know that many airlines had a fare sale in November for many far east destinations.

"Or an OZ ticket with stopover?"

Depends on whether you are going to OZ.

Also there is no indication of your duration of travel, which certainly makes a difference. A date in Jan. would help too.

Maybe I should concentrate on bangkok for now
I'd want to spend 3months+ in the far east, departure date is not as important as being in the right place to avoid worst of the rain and heat

January isn't the rainy season in Thailand. It's the cool season.

No such thing as an open return. Depends on the flexibility of the ticket. There may be a charge to change the inbound date on cheaper tickets.

    What quotes have you received?
