Laptop won't read my SD cards anymore ??

Hi Guys

Just got a laptop recently and it has a Media Card reader built into it, when I was first using it with my Digital Camera pics it took the pics off the SD card no problem, but now when I insert my SD card into the computer and open the files all I get is a grey image when I try to open the Pictures, and there is no preview available for the Pictures either .
Anyone have any idea how I can resolve this problem ??

Could be that the card is faulty.

Have you tried a different card?

Yeah , all my SD cards that worked before dont now, even other peoples i've tried dont work.

Then the problem is one of the following:
1) Device drivers need re-installing (these may be built into the OS though)
2) OS needs re-installing (Win XP??)
3) Device hardware (i.e. card reader) is faulty - needs repairing or replacing

Try looking in the device manager for any warnings - this may be a sign of 1) or 3) above.
