Replace garage

Options
Does anyone have any experience of a galvanised steel garage, I have seen them from around £600 and was wondering if they are any good. It will be used more as a shed than a garage as the drive is too narrow to get a modern car up.

It's to be used as a replacement for a now demolished concrete garage, so there is a good solid base to fix it to. Any advice or comments gratefully received. Thanks in advance, Rich.

    depends what youre storing inside?
steel and plastic ones have terrible condensation problems.
a pre fab concrete garage is far better. or even a wooden one.

you can get concrete ones from 1000 quid.
    Get some gorm.

Don't buy one unless it comes with a free annual supply of WD40 to spray all your tools with to stop them going rusty

Thanks for the advice, it's my Mums place, only really used for storing the lawnmower and garden chairs. She is used to having a large space so doesn't really want a typical shed. Also worried about maintenance of wood, so these seemed the cheap easy option.

Would the £1,000 include putting it up? That is about in her budget and probably a better option. Any recommendations? thanks again, Rich

I would agree with the condensation problem with the metal garage but not with a plastic one. I have a plastic shed and have no problems with condensation at all and zero maintenance as well.

    B&Q do plastic garages.

Plastic is even worse for condensation than steel - try http://www.comptonbuildings.co.uk/?gclid=COyJ0dr746MCFd392AodIGLdBA
