Hi fellas, i had recently applied for capital one classic and it is a Visa card. But the only I recieved in post and activiated it afterwords is actually a Mastercard. Has there been a mix-up or what?

Progress is a MasterCard though, which starts at the same rate as Classic0

I have just checked the letter which I recieved with the card and it says nothing about either being a Progress or Classic card.0

Now if you want to see what happens when Capital one screw up, try calling up their call center and you'l see why they screw up.
It makes no odds about the card btw, both Visa and Mastercard have the exact same policies/formats/acceptability etc.0 -
Called them in the morning and spoke to a guy who sounded Polish? He confirmed it is a progress card and after three reductions my apr could shrink to 18.64% for purchases, balance transfers and cash withdrawals plus higher limit.
I didn't signup for any policies when I activated my card so he tried to flog me some protection plan in case of unemployment and was so persistant that I had to hang up.0 -

You know, they're not just a sub prime lender.
They're a sub prime fuking employer!
Credit profile isn't worth a dime? Capital one: No problem, here's a card for you!
Most incompetant boob since Jimmy Carter to roam the face of the planet? Capital one: No problem, here's a job for you in our call center!0
