Just had an evil thought, if they threaten court again just tell them it'd be nice to have another framed CCJ on the wall so that when you're debt free you can be proud of all your hard work.

I once had a creditor threaten me with bankruptcy. I said thank you because it would save me the fees. They didn't follow through unfortunately.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

    1. List 3 items on Ebay or put 3 items in the charity box/bin - this evening
    2. Make all today's meals from what you have in already - see previous discussion re tomatoes
    3. Pay an extra £1.29 onto a debt payment/into the savings pot - paid £11.29 off overdraft.
    4. Do 15mins of something that leaves you out of breath - swam for 20 mins, running later
    5. Pay something forward - taught a friend how to do something computer-wise that they were struggling with
    6. Do one thing you've been putting off - joined the gym!
    7. Start your September food plan - I've looked at some recipes, does that count?
    8. Do one thing JUST FOR YOU - downloaded lots of music onto my phone for walking/ running

Timed it very well with the gym - they have a special offer which runs out at the end of the month - cost me £30 for one month's membership, and don't have to pay a joining fee.. I can move onto the normal monthly membership after that, which is... £31 a month! :rotfl: Got my induction/ working out a routine type thing on Thursday.

Bunny, Ignore MBNA 'Legal Dept'. Speak to Customer Assistance on 0800 783 7198 or 0800 092 7022 ( better) the peeps there have at least half a brain and a lot less attitude. x

Bun, I wonder if you could get any money from small trusts etc to help with your fees - I was just looking at this one http://www.family-action.org.uk/section.aspx?id=1037 for some students at work.

  • If they decide to accept a F&F offer Pepe, how do you go about it making sure the will count the debt as satisfied?

God, it would be great if they took £300! *goes off and dreams*

Oh, and while you are here Pepster, still waiting on the PPI claim with Lloyds. Had a letter on Fri saying its still ongoing and that they may call me...would it be great to get that back now?

They were among the ones that, basically, got told that they should stop faffing about with these Claims and get them settled and paid before any further action was taken against them.
