    Good Morning Everyone,

I am struggling to get motivated today as OH left early this morning, working away for 4 days.

DS is still off school as well as he’s not too well.
    • Check up with emails done
    • Catch up with FB done
    • Catch up with one poll done
    • Refrain from purchasing cigs (I gave up months ago but I fear that this week may undo all the hard work)
    • Look into new freelance jobs
    • Check online banks done, I got a good surprise
    • Take time off to watch This Morning as my favourite chef is on
    • Water the plants
    • Catch up with the laundry – hang outside if it brightens up
    • Tidy the office – not really money saving but needs to be done
    • List some items on ebay
    • Sort account on pigsback
    • Complete work for client 1
    • Complete work for client 2
    • Update work diary
    • All meals from stores
    • Tidy the kitchen
Only a short-list from me today but I fear I may struggle to do anything.
    Aiming to get Debt Free.

I'm a bit gloomy today, it looks like DS2 will have to re-take a year of his uni :( I hate it that he feels a failure :( I hate it that he now has problems that can't be kissed better :(;)

    • 30 mins on the CT

And he has a great bargaining chip which is that he is being head-hunted - again. Though I'm not interested in going to the US

Have a great day everybody :A

Hi Olive, sorry to hear your DS2s bad news, hope he feels better soon x

Wow on the increase on the CT tho :j

Me again, hi everyone. OH and I are off work this week so we are 'on holiday', although we haven't gone anywhere. We have decided to be tourists in our own part of the world this year to try and save a bit of money, and also make the most of living where we do!

It hasn't got off to a good start due to the torrential rain we have had but today is a bit brighter so fingers crossed! We had a huge airshow down here over the weekend that was rained off, and yesterday wasn't much better weatherwise. We spent the day in Blandford though and went to The Royal Signals Museum which was very interesting.

    DFW things today inc:

    1) Checked banking, quido and did SC.
    2) Washing ready to dry outside.
    3) Taking a picnic and drinks out with us, rather than pay for food.
    4) Meeting friends at Adventure Wonderland. Using our season tickets, although we will have to pay for OH as he doesn't have one, but a cheap day out nonetheless.
    5) Have bagged a pair of free tickets to see The Runaways - B will be absolutely thrilled as it starts Kristen Stewart from Twilight who is , like, OMG, the best actress ever! ( B's words, not mine!).
    6) Possibly finish painting my bookcase, as long as it doesn't rain again!
    7) Maybe go out for dinner using our Clubcard tokens.
    8) Complete any surveys for my Christmas shopping fund.

Have a nice day - enjoy your holiday Rachel.

  • Just diving on quickly whilst DH isn't looking. I'm "busy making labels for the jam" whilst he really IS busy cutting the new shelves for the utility room ;)

    So far today I have:
    • run DW overnight on Economy 7
    • checked banking
    • checked for surveys
    • fed and watered chickens - one egg so far
    • given the chooks some windfall apples off the trees as they can't come out whilst DH has the power tools out
    • made 15 jars of jam from the mirabelles we foraged on Sunday
    • used left over paint to paint the inside of the new larder being built in the utility room :D
    I also hope to:
    • get all the shelves varnished (left over half a tin)
    • all meals from stores
    • have an NSD
    • possibly spend night at DD's so can eat there :)
    Okay, back to making labels....
