My wife had a bond that matured on 01-08-2010 she reinvested the capital but bwaqnted the interest.
She has now been waiting 3 weeks for it to be paid, she has also been to the branch a couple of times but has been fobbed of with excuses.
Has any one else had a similar experience? and what would be the best way to proceed to get her money?

Santander, generally, is in chaos at the moment due to the integration of their IT system with A&L (Their excuse, anyway).
Probably, your best bet is to start Santander's formal complaints procedure, in writing. Once you get their final response to your complaint, if you are not satisfied with that response, you can refer the complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service for resolution. It's a free service but does take time. They can, however, award compensation for any losses incurred by the delay and for expenses and inconvenience caused.
You must, however, go through Santander's complaints procedure before you can refer the complaint to the FOS.Warning: In the kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.0
