Bear in mind that a lot of the RAC cover and AA cover are for roadside only (around the £60+ mark). If you go through a local dealership i.e. Swinton it is £45 home and roadside, they use local breakdown garages. In my first year with them I had to call them out twice, the first to a flat battery-two minutes to sort - the second to a dislodged solenoid? switch - one minute to sort. - Well worth having. Most insurance companies will sell RAC cover or the AA cover at inflated prices and will only cover breakdown away from home (at least half a mile away!)0
