Hi
I will soon be purchasing a new home with my partner and need to look for a new home insurance policy. I dont have any problem with finding the cheapest policy etc. the problem i have is that i want a few extra benefits.
I am looking for a home insurance policy that will be able to cover us for gas supply cover, drainage cover and water supply cover. does anyone know of any providers that cover these items or do i need to go to an external body like homeserve?
many thanks

These tend to be separate insurances unfortunately.
Some insurances cover the water pipes inside and underneath the home. Begins with a N. Cough Cough. But I suggest you to phone them up to confirm. They added this on the policy during 2008-2009. They may have removed it. So, if in doubt, just phone the company.
Gas? I believe you mean boiler and central heating cover? This tends to be via the supplier. This can range from £15 - £35 per month.
Water supply cover? Hmmm. The last one I bought was around £12 per year. Any water leakage outside the house is free and most water companies will cover one leakage inside the house. So if this is a new build, this will be covered by your house builder. If not, ask.Motto: 'If you don't ask, you don't get!!'
