Aviva home insurance renewal

Just wondering if anyone can help please?
I have had my buildings and contents insuramce with Northern rock for 5 years and am more than happy with coverage and charge.
Got in the post today a letter from aviva saying thanks for being with them for the past year and that there is no increase to my premium for this year coming.
ON first glance I thought had I filled in something I hadn't realised or had I not read something from northern rock about them moving insurance over! As I read my letter more closely it was addressed to a Mr instead of Miss; had direct debit instructions with full bank details that do not resemble mine what so ever (thank goodness) and has a date for direct debit that was not the date i pay my insurance.
After all that, was just wondering if it is some sly sales pitch? I tried ringing the number to complain, but they wanted my date of birth as security and I have not given it to them for them to check it against their records so put the phone down- this was an automated service by the way.
Just worried about how this sort of letter might make other people feel, Am feel lucky as check through everything, but other people receiving letters like this might feel a bit panicked at first.

There are scams around where people set up purchases such as Insurance in other people's names to gain cash back from sites such as quidco. This maybe one of them
