worm / larvae need help identifing
I live in memphis, TN in the US.. I have tiny worms in my pool.. can any one help me identify them. They are off white with black head.. I took the best pic I could one is thru the eye my the microscope I had when I was a kid.. I sprayed beach on one an it didn't kill it. Can anyone help.

1. Not convinced you'll get an identification with the photos and the size of the things.
2. I believe most of us are in the UK and you will have some bugs that we don't.
3. Clean the pool

oh.. I have cleaned and cleaned the pool. This is the bug'est year. There is like 3 times as many of everything!! An there is ALOT of them.. An I know my pictures are bad.. but I don't have the equipment to take a good picture because they are SO tiny.0

You'll definitely be better off on a US website, the insects over this side of the pond are different to the US.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Ask neighbours who have pools. Maybe they've got the larvae too, and have found out what they are and how to deal with them. If they are happy in the water I guess they'll be the larvae of some sort of mosquito or midge type insect.If I'm over the hill, where was the top?0

They look a bit like sciarid larvae. Hope you find a solution soon :-)Please remember to thank fellow MSE'rs :beer:0
