PS Pottery pot is best but DH says metal - it does make a difference so try them both. (Bought from car boot sales for 50p)
I've got the physics degree here, so I can help you. The metal pots lose heat faster than the china ones. Warming the pot first is not an old wives' tale. It is firmly based on the laws of thermodynamics. If you warm the pot first, the heat lost will be less than if you brewed in a cold pot, so you will make a better cup of tea. Any excess tea can be kept warm longer by pouring into a vacuum flask.
The cafetieres used for making coffee, also make excellent tea.Small change can often be found under seat cushions.

I put my used tea leaves discreetly under shrubs in the communal garden, where they go back to nature. Actually, I do this with all waste such as fruit peels, carrot tops etc. Keeps my rubbish volume very low, and recycle organic matter in the most natural way.
Easier done when it's dark, of course...Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -

Because my wife and her friends are all tea mad and this household seems to be more of a cafe I do get thru loads of tea bags and find this is a waste throwing in the bin, so can I please have some tips on what to do with used tea bags?
Thanks guys0 -
I put them in with the compost when Im planting as they (hopefully) feed the plants and rot down other than that they go in the compost binClearing the junk to travel light
