I want male facial hair/beard remover cream

Options
OK, kind of an odd one, and I'm not even sure such a product exists...

Does anyone know of a male equivalent of Nair that can be used as an alternative to shaving? I tried the wife's Nair, but it didn't seem to be strong enough for beard hair.

I wondered about that, but face skin is a lot more sensitive apparently, so could cause a rash. That could be why such a thing doesn't seem to exist in the first place

  • If you are desperate and willing to spend a bit you could always go for electrolysis or laser, or you could always try one or two creams just on a patch test and perhaps leave it as long as you dare just to see if it works. If it starts stinging or burning though wipe it straight off.

Not quite that desperate, but I could try the Nair I guess. Daily shaving is a pain, looking for something that will last me a few days.

You're looking for Magic Shave. The 'gold' powder is available at Amazon and eBay. Its actually sold as "Magic Shave is the razorless hair removal system for black men. The skin-conditioning formula features cocoa butter and natural oils for soft, smooth, bump-free skin."

They do a Nair for tough/course hair

I saw this in the 99p shop today, I think it would be worth trying on the face as I think it is intended for an area even more sensitive...

Give your face a good massage with Bio-oil afterwards to smooth the skin and avoid ingrown hairs.

That Magic Shave seems to be specifically aimed at black men, would it still work on white skin?

As far as I know it does.
The main reason its aimed at black men more is beacause their skin is more likely to have problems with razor bumps and scarring (More melanin).
I know its popular with ladies for their legs and lady gardens! :)

Be careful with hair remover products on your face!

I have very difficult to remove hair (on body, eg underarms), I try these creams, nothing gets removed- or very little yet my skin is often red raw (I never learn...) I can say without a doubt that the skin under my arms is way less delicate then that on my face. I shudder to think what applying this cream to my face could do!

They do make a facial hair remover cream but I don't know if it would work so well on male hair as I think its quite a bit denser then say eyebrow hair on a women.

OP, have you considered Waxing? sounds painful but would last alot longer. You'd need to grow the hair a bit though as hair has cycles and each folicle is slightly different, you wax and it grows back what seems like very quickly, infact its not grown back so fast, its just hair that was too tiny to get take out by the wax when you had it done.

I am sure there are many beauty salons that offer male facial waxing, check out Wahanda or Last Minute.
