Any suggestion for a small fan type heater to warm the bathroom for my nightly ablutions now that the nights are getting chilly, don't want to put the boiler on just to warm the bathroom for 30mins or so.

I wouldn't recommend any type of fan heater or portable heater for the bathroom0

Depending on what state your floor is in and how much you are prepared to spend, there is electric underfloor heating available which is particularly suitable for tiled bathroom floors. It comes in sheets a couple of milimetres thick and goes under the tile adhesive. It is not designed as an alternative to central heating, but merely to take the chill of tiled floors and keep the room comfortable.
You can also put it behind mirrors to stop them steaming up. However, a money svaing forum is probably not the place for such decedant ideas.0 -
We have a small wall mounted electric fan heater (designed to be used in bathrms) and operated with a pull cord like the light switch. Very effective for small room, and used only as you want0

The only unit you can fit in a bathroom has to be hardwired and notified.

Plug a fan heater in from the landing. Site it near the door and don't touch it with wet hands!I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
