Hi
I have got no sound from my PC, my sound card is a Soundblaster Audigy A400, I tried to update all my drivers recently and it happened after this, but when I click on device manager, all drivers are up to date. However when I go to Control Panel/ Sounds and Audio devices/ Properties/ the sound blaster icon and screen is grey, sound is on minimum and I am unable to change anything. Can anyone please help??

roll back your driver - if it ain't broke, don't fix it!IT Field Service Engineer, 20 years with screwdriver and hammer0

I'm running Windows XP SP3. I've checked everything I can think off...device manager, mute, tested the speakers on my other PC which works OK etc. I also removed the Sound Blaster Audigy software completely (using the Sound Blaster Disc which came with the PC) and then did a full install. All to no avail, still no sound coming through whatsoever. The problem occured when I decided to update all my drivers (bad idea I now realise). The full re-install I've just done has did put back all the original drivers back on my PC, so you'd think that would have sorted it?! Thanks for your help.0

Make sure your on-board audio is turned off and the card is set to default.0

put some earbuds in the PC speaker plug - don't put the buds in your ear, but hold them close-ish
both master and other volumes, left & right speakers all on the mixer panel turned up?0
