I have a dell inspiron 530 ,was thinking of fitting blu ray unit , remember reading in the past that dell internal wiring was slightly different in length or something along that line ,have added more memory no problem and fitted dvd rw to old advent in past ......
anyone know of anything?

There is nothing different however unless you plan on watching Blu-ray movies on a screen considerably larger than a desktop PC screen, there really isn't any point.
