Dead repeated calls from 02073 954698

I have been getting a number of calls per day from this number. I searched it on google and it seems other people are getting it too. Is there anything I can do about this? I am already registered with the telephone preference service and have been for years now

This is one of the links I found on google http://lordmatt.co.uk/item/437 although what it speaks of doesnt come up now when googling

Have you tried contacting the telephone preference service to see what they say as to if they can do anything?

Is this number calling your landline or your mobile? If you mobile you may be able to get the service provider to block the number

My landline. I have started today to write down when I get the calls time and date.

I will try speaking to the tps tomorrow, I could speak to NTL too I suppose

Even if you are registered with tps,you need to register seperately for silent calls.

You can register with tps for silent calls,its usually caused by automated dialling.You answer but they dont have an operator free to speak.They are a pain,particularly if they are in the middle of the night.Might as well register for mobiles while you are at it.

Who do I register for silent calls with?

Telephone preference service,TPS.Google and register online.Or telephone them.You can also register seperately to block sales calls.IT can take up to 28 days i think to take effect.I dont think this covers calls from foreign call centres.

Thanx I will double check but I am almost certain that I registered for both with tps when I joined but I will recheck

I did put my number on the silent call guard site but they dont send a conformation email or anything so you dont really know if its gone through and the number they give you is an 0870 number. Its not clear how fast this is supposed to work

I did not call the number back, not sure if I want to...

thanks for the info on this site - have been suffering from silent calls and now just registered with tps silent call service. lets hope they get reducded!
