Paying balance of holiday

Afternoon
Looking for some help please!
I have a holiday booked for November, I paid the £300 deposit with my CC card, I have the balance sitting in my savings account.
The company I booked with will charge 2% to pay the balance on my CC card, but no charges for using a Debit card.
So my question is, as I payed the deposit of £300, will I still have the same protection the CC card offers if I pay the balance by debit card? Or should I pay the balance with my CC card? (and stump up the 2% which is £44.40?)
Thanks for any feedback!

As you've paid the deposit on credit card you have full Section 75 protection......
So it's only worthwhile paying the rest on credit card if you've got a cashback card that pays more than the 2% (ie American Express opening offer), or you can 'do' something with the money until the bill is due that will earn over the 2% charge0 -
Thanks dazza.mk. My card does not give cashback, so I will pay the balance with my debit card.

Agree. You can pay any amount to be covered under Section 75, even just £10. As long as the cost is between £100 and £30,000 you are covered.0
