Help with ppi questionnaire

I'm in the process of filling out the questionnaire,& question A4 asks for the ppi policy number, which I don't seem to have. The only policy/account number is the loan account number.
Any ideas?

    Hi there

You use the loan account number, as your insurance payment would have been taken from that actual account.

Good luck, please keep us posted.;)

    Cheers for your quick reply.
The only problem is, question C1 asks for the loan account number, which I've given them in question A4.
However, "this number will be different to the insurance policy number you filled in on page 1", hence the confusion.

Many have asked this and I can understand this can cause much confusion.
If your insurance payment was added with the loan, you need to make them aware of this and that the loan account number is all you have to go by, this will still be okay.;)

  • Just received a letter back today, basically saying they can find no evidence to support my claim that the policy has been mis-sold, however they are offering me a full refund as a gesture of goodwill.
    Result!
  • Really? That's quick - who were you claiming from? I bet mine takes a lot longer than that. Well done.

Egg. Very surprised it was so quick, but very pleasantly surprised.
They offered to reduce my balance as the loan is still running, issue it directly to my bank account, or send a cheque. Great timing as well with a holiday coming up!

Well done to you :j:j are they offering you all ppi to date with interest? they might just be giving you a bit of money to get rid of you. If you post your loan amounts for ppi and start and end date of loan someone will help you with figures so you can see if this is right, if it is not you can write back to egg and tell them this is not right and you want full redress or you will take it to fos. Egg woud not make a goodwill gesture that fast, unless they owe you more.

They have offered me a full refund of all premiums charged to my account with interest. Although they have said their "offer to refund the premiums and associated interest charges does not represent any admission of liability on behalf of Egg".
BTW the protection insurance was £1069.41, & the amount they have refunded me is £1324.96.
