trying to install avg but got to a stage where it says i need to get rid of mcafee virus scan but i cant find it
anyone know how to find it
please try not to get too technical in the answer i need simple instructions please

1. Google for and download the McAfee removal tool, that'll remove any stray traces you may have from a previous install
2. If you don;t want to be running back here within the next few weeks asking how to remove all the viruses you've since picked up I'd suggesting choosing one of the vaguely reliable free Anti Virus products around rather than the one you've suggested that's about as effective as a wet paper bag.
Avira, Avast or Microsoft Security Essentials are generally well recommended.... AVG is certainly not!0
