I have a back-up list of phone numbers in Excel format which I want to get onto my Vodafone SIM (new phone).
Is there any tool which can allow me to do this??
Thanks!

I don't see any phone software....
It's a HTC Desire"To be ignorant of one's ignorance is the malady of the ignorant." Amos Bronson Alcott0 -

I see, it's an Android phone, congratulations
This makes it much easier. So you don't really want the numbers on your SIM. The amount of informations a SIM can store is very limited.
What you need to do is importing your numbers into your GMail address book and it will be synchronized with your phone.

If I need to take out the SIM card and put it into another phone, the numbers wouldn't transfer across right?
Is it not possible to get them onto the SIM using an equally fast method?

No, they wouldn't as they're stored in the phone memory.londonman81 wrote: »Is it not possible to get them onto the SIM using an equally fast method?
Once your contacts are on your phone you can select one, press the menu button and chose "copy to SIM".
I don't really see the advantage of having the contacts on your SIM. It is limited to 200 entries and each one can only contain exactly one name and exactly one number. If your contacts have more than one number then they need another entry. Your contacts on your phone can have several phone numbers, email addresses, addresses, etc.
How often do you need to swap your SIM card to another phone? It would be better to get all your contacts into the other phone's internal contact list.
Guy, you have a very good smart phone now with email, sat nav and so on and you want to limit yourself by having your contacts on your SIM without email address and so on? :think:0
