Carpet Cleaning

Room approx 5m x 5m, carpet cleaning quote at £165. Does this seem steep to anybody?

Not keen on hiring the cleaning machine and doing it myself. Any comments much appreciated!

Just phoned my father in law who has been running an independant carpet cleaning business for years. He almost spat his coffee out at the quote you have. He would charge £50 maximum on a carpet that size depending on soilage of the carpet. Could hear the mother in Law saying you need to put your prices up to him!!
He says they are having a laugh at that price. I guess also it depends where in the country you are, this is what he charges in Devon where his business is based,whereas I guess central London would be a different matter.

Hi - If anyone's still interested, Swift Cleaning's online carpet cleaning London 'Cost Calculator' spat out £63.75 for a 5x5m square carpet - which seems good value for London.

This is with a 15% discount online.

Perhaps there was a misunderstanding with the guys who gave you a quote - if not - your quote is certainly not good value!
