lol! once you've found out wgat proxy bidding means and written your 500 words can you submit it to ebay to add to their site cos I remember thinking thie description was utter pants!! lol!! :D

You'll have to give me a clue :o

I finally plucked up the courage to buy a BIN thing, but found it really really weird that someone on the internet (apart from a few hundred shops ;) ), now know my name, address, e-mail add, etc etc.

Am I being paranoid or is it natural? And is there a way around it? Like having stuff sent to my work address?

    Thanks :D

The only problem I have ever encountered is a couple of unsolicited emails offering to sell items outside of the ebay site, these you can report straight to ebay, its against their rules. In 3 years I havn't had any problems, at least that I'm aware of!!
If you're really concerned, why not have a separate email address for ebay business only. You may find that having items sent to your work place might leave you open to "non delivery", there might be fraud concerns if you paid by debit or credit card but requested items sent to an address other than that registered to the card. Alternatively just ask the seller to send to whatever address you want, I've done this to avoid additional postage charges/delivery time when buying something for a relative and its so far not been a problem. I find that friendly emails to the seller explaining the reason are generally are well received. Happy bidding, a word of warning, it can become addictive!!!
Are those shopping bags you're carrying really bags of debt???
  • Thanks for that cafcfan :)

I think I'll stick to looking and maybe buying the odd item or two. I'm not 100% sure but I thought I'd spotted a private seller, coud have been a buyer, but definitely private. Makes me wonder how anyone knows who's who :D

Just been looking now (you're right, it is addictive lol), and seen an Asda carrier bag for sale at 1p
