Hello there, looking for advice for my friend who is in process of signing up here but hasn't received her password but needs an answer quite quickly on something.
Where can she get a bank account that will give her a debit card even though she has a poor credit history? Looked for answer on here with her but we couldn't find it. Please help, she's a good pal.

If your friend has a poor credit rating and just needs a current account for simple day to day banking, she may which to consider a 'Basic Bank Account'.
The Financial Services Authority publish a booklet on these (including who offer them and what they provide) and explain what they provide compared to a 'standard' current account.

Most Mainstream High Street banks offer as others have said a "basic current account" which they are bound to offer to anyone who needs one. As her credit rating improves she may be able to move up the scale to better current accounts but nobody should turn her down for this.

She has a basic account with Royal Bank and Lloyd's but neither will give her a switch (or equivalent) card.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera.
