opening attachements on hotmail

Options
I have a hotmail account which i've used fine for years - opening spreadsheets in excel using office 2003.
Since the change to hotmail I'm unable to do this - it keeps trying to get me to upgrade to 2010? if i forward the email to my yahoo addess, I can open no problems with 2003.

Is there an easy way around this? would rather keep my hotmail address if possible. (ive got windows 7 and using firefox)

Thanks for your help,

Not sure if this will help, but since the Hotmail changes I was having problems with opening Word docs using IE. If I use Googlechrome I can open without any problems. Maybe try a different browser?

Thanks, I've tried that, but still get the same message. I think it must be something to do with settings on hotmail, but i don't know how to change them!!

Did you try to save the file first and to open it from your PC?
