SoBaby.co.uk: money deducted from account but no goods received

I wanted to warn other parents about a bricks n' mortar baby retailer named sobaby.co.uk

I ordered goods from the website of this retailer, which also has a store in Andover in Hampshire, on July 20 and had the money deducted from my credit card instantly.

Fast forward one month (and a bit) and the goods have still not been received and, despite increasingly more frantic emails to the company, I have received one response stating that 'a refund is being processed'. Several days later and, guess what, no refund to my credit card.

Phone calls to the company go unanswered, but the line is often engaged (are they making calls out?).

I have now raised the matter as a dispute with my credit card company and I have also reported the problems I've been having to Consumer Direct. I am assured by my credit card company that I will get my money back (£85), but I wanted to warn other parents, so they can avoid the stress and anxiety I have been through at the hands of sobaby.co.uk

We have also ordered a cot bed from this so called company, i have just found your Thread on Matin's site, gutted for you and we are in te same boat, we are onto our credit card company now. I will be contacting trading standards after i leave this message. Sobaby.co.uk DONT USE THEM.....I Work for the police and i will be looking into this when i get into work on Thursday.
