yes they are short lived perennials but because they are tender, often not nurtured over winter.
Do dig up quite a lot of soil with them and put them in a decent sized pot.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -

loucroft - could you clarify that recipe please? What must be boiled first? The combined ingredents or the chopped cabbage? I may be a bit thick but couldn't quite understand what has to be done with the various ingredients, and in what order. Thanks.
Hiya
No boiling:j, all raw ingredients which are whizzed up to be textured and really tasty. Just put the whole lot in a large bowl and blend until you have a bitty sauce. There's no real order or organisation, just pure ingredients that eventually you can adapt to suit your taste.
Let me know if you struggle, I'll do some in the next few days and take note of quantities.
Really is a healthy way of getting a chilli sauce fix that can be kept in the fridge for a while
