Illuminated keyboard problem

I've had THIS keyboard for a few months now, and all of a sudden, when I press some of the keys I get multiple letters appearing.
Say I'm typing an email and press the letter 'E' on the keyboard, it types 'qwer' on the screen. It does this with other letter keys too, but displays different letters - say I press 'J' it will type 'gh'.
I know this sounds mad, and I've never encountered this problem before although this is the first illuminated keyboard that I've used.
I have swapped back to my old keyboard to type this.
Does anyone know if this is a common problem with these types of keyboards?

LED backlighting isn't going to make any odds, if you are getting erroneous responses when pressing keys then the keyboard is f****d (someone spilt something on it?
)

If it is showing up adjacent keys then either summat has been spilled in it or there's a manufacturing fault.0
