If I have a car on which I have a no claims bonus, can I apply that NCB to a second car I decide to purchase?

Yes - you should use your NCB on the most expensive to insure car. If it's the new one, then change your existing car for the new one (thereby getting the benefit of the NCD already earned on your new car), and take out a new policy (with nil NCD) for your existing car. (If the new car is cheaper to insure than your existing one, then all you can do is try and get an introductory discount (via a broker), or see if your current insurer can do anything for you (some mirror existing NCD if you add on another car)
Thereafter, each policy will build up its own NCD.0 -
Some companys allow it to be mirrored, but most dont admiral is one that does0

Hi, there are several companies that will 'mirror' your NCB on another car 'as long as you are the sole driver on both cars' , however if you require additional drivers covered there are only a couple willing to, but some others will give you a smaller second car discount.I have had it mirrored with Admiral/Elephant, Morethan and Churchill/RBS Group.0
