I am also going to try amd claim what looks like 2 charges of ppi on the statements it says 111g which = insurance charge and on another page it says extracare advantage insurance are these the same thing or two different charges do you think . do you think i can claim back both as i never ask for it or wanted it .

also i have read a thread that advices to write to the underwriters how do i find that info out . adddress and who it is ??

    Hi Katie

What I would do first is contact the FOS and ask for advice on this, and take it from there, its possible they will mention this insurer/underwriter group, and they will advise you.

What you do is make sure you have the insurance policy details from the cat company, they are or should be available on request, these are not always supplied until you request for them.
I would ask in writing, ask if they could supply them to you by 14 days.

The details of the insurer/underwriter are enclosed on the policy.

You then pursue these as you did with the catalogue, if they say no then the FOS should be able to investigate, as these would have been regulated.

Do contact the FOS first though to get authorisation from them if you know what I mean.;)
