Smart Car keys and service help needed!

Hi,

Just bought a second hand Smart car for two- I love it but need an extra key (it only came with one) which I have been quoted £216 in total, It also needs a service B.... which Ive been quoted £350 for! I thought I'd got a good deal but apparently not, I live in North East London/Essex....Anyone know if this is the going rate for the key and service? Any info would be appreciated!

Ring round a couple of places to get a quote for a service to see what a competitive rate is, but try and use a garage recommended by a family member so that you know it isn't run by cowboys rather than simply looking for the lowest price.

As for the keys, they're expensive little blighters to replace whatever car you're driving unfortunately.

    Hi Kate

Have you tried Smart Garage Services in London?!

A Google search should help find there page.

    Their address is:

    2-34 Hare Street, Woolwich, London SE18 6LZ

They service Smart's and may be able to advise regards the new key.

I would have a shop around and get a few prices for the key, as will depend on where you go to get it done.
  • Thanks Guys!

The original quotes were from Motoraid in Hainault-I rang Motoraid in Basildon and have been quoted much less! A lot happier now! A saving of £160 combined is worth driving a bit futher for...
