Hi kind people. I'm trying to get Antimalware Doctor off a laptop to save a wedding next week!

I've tried to follow Browntoa's instructions by downloading Malwarebytes to a USB drive but when I try to run the programe, the virus puts up a dialogue box saying "Application cannot be executed. The file sas(filename) is infected. Do you want to activate your antivirus software now?"

How can I get round this? Thanks in advance.

    That's worked, great.

    I can't get on the net I don't think.

I've just downloaded it, can I scan without checking for updates?

    Thanks

I'm going to have to run it as it is and hope for the best - 61 threats detected so far!

You should have chosen Safe Mode with Networking if you needed Internet connection, but you weren't to know.

It seems better but still infected after removing those 61.

I'm going to try booting in Safe Mode with Networking, updating the program then runnignscane again.

    Thanks all.

Wouldn't let me update anyway so I'm running it again as it is.

Were you connected to the Internet via Ethernet cable? That would help.
