    I got a confirmation email saying £4.99 but there cannot be a charge as the Credit Card details I had on the site from a previous purchase were no longer valid as the card has been replaced and I was not asked for new card details.

    That is the same as me didn't ask to update card...brillant freebie x

    Was it totally free (no shipping charge) ? Thats a good deal although I an fussy about my earphones

    Yes totally free, no cost or p&p. Even if you don't like them as you say you are fussy with your earphones you cant go wrong for the price, can you?! Keep them as emergency pair ;)
    Look to me that for a lot of peoples it is not necessary to understand things in order to argue about them ;)

    Keep a pre-paid Mastercard with about £1.50 on for this sort of thing. They can't take the cash if it's not there.

    If you inputted the code then your fine I had the same thing and Play said it was free and my card will not be charged. The website order details will say free if its free. forget the £4.99 on the confirmation of order email.
