Well now you see i HAVE a pair of Tweezerman tweezers but they are very very sharp and pointed as they are for removing ingrown hairs. However, I have hardly used them as I find they make more of a mess of the situation

How can I decide WHICH Tweezeman model I need if I buy online? I dont recall ever seeing them in Boots.
Boots do sell them - along side the RED and cosmo ones. They come in a variety of shapes colours and sizes and as you go along you find you end up having one of each shape at least in your collection
I personally have the Sharpe pointed pair - well two pairs actually because I get ingrowing hairs on the back of my legs and also my eyebrows look like I have stubble at times where they are so thick growing back
I also have the "normal" slanted ones - great for most jobs
And I have the ones with the big circular middle bits which are easy to grip. Also slanted - they are great for eyebrows and facial hairs
And no doubt I will be buying more as I go along0 -

I use the travel size set - two pairs, one slanted and one pointed, come in a handbag friendly pouch
Does anyone have the address to send them to get sharpened? I have an old pair which I accidentally dropped and bent the point.
So got to love Google

Right:
circular middle bits - must look out for these
automatic ones? mind boggles
I know I have ingrowing hairs on the back of my legs cos the woman who does my waxing tells me so. But since I cant see them there's not a lot I can do. Are you a contortionist Suki?!Ellie

Tweezerman. I use them all the time in my salon. I find that on myself the slanted ones are easier, but on my clients I use the ones specifically for ingrown hairs.
Re: ingrowns. If you want to reduce the risk of them there are two things you need to do. First, get a pair of scratchy mitts - a couple of quid, if that, from superdrug and the like. In the shower gently exfoliate every day. Gently! don't rub like fury; you'll make the skin sore. Second, after showering use any old cheap body lotion, carrier oil, spritzer.
The first step sloughs away dead skin, the second keeps the skin soft so that new hairs can grow through properly.
If you're going to hoick out ingrowns use the correct tool for the job (Tweezerman ingrown hair tweezer), keep the skin clean and don't pick afterwards. Alternatively use a product such as Tend Skin or PFB Vanish (my professional choice).0 -
I'm buying this next.

lol
No but I sit on my bum with my feet on the floor and my knees up with a bloody good magnifying mirror and a very bright light and I work away - usually after epilating
No matter now much I ex-foliate I get hairs that although dont always grow in -grow down - so dont get lifted.0 -
Although I use Tweezerman, I got a free pair of Braun ones with my epilator, they are not as good as the tweezerman but they have a bright led light on them which is really good and you can see things easily and clearly, I've seen these before but thought it was just a gimmick but the light makes a big difference, if only they were tweezerman.Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0

I have some superdrug ones, they're black with holes in the arms and they are brill. Didn't cost more than a few pound as I sent my husband to get me some and he's a tight old so and so

I use one from a brand called QVS, available in Superdrug and Asda I believe. Does a good job of what its supposed to do, and its about 2-3£.
Haven't got tweezerman so can't compare, plus the feeling isn't that bad if you lose a £3 tweezer compared to an expensive one;)
I second this! I've had my fair share of tweezerman tweezers but got fed up with paying out loads of money and losing them all the time I tried the Asda ones (didn't know they weren't asdas own) and they are fantastic, I have around four pairs dotted around the place (and still can't find any when i want them!) and they are realllllllllllllly good.
I would suggest everyone try them even if its as a back up pair.
