I am looking for some help please. I have a Student just arrived from Germany and he cannot connect to my wireless internet. It is showing as 100 % available but is not connecting. He had this problem also just before he came and was told the networking card was possibly broken so he went and bought a dongle but is having the same problem.
He has a Toshiba M70-151 Satellite laptop running Xp.
As his only suggestion is to run an Ethernet cable upstairs I am looking for suggestions please?

Connect him to the internet with a cable and peform a full windows update http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/
