    Oh well, it's a lesson learnt. That's what I get for not really understanding insurance policies and accepting a cheaper quote. Need to do more research next time.

    We got a mate who was a carpet fitter to fit a carpet for us. He nicked a water pipe when fitting the grip rods to the floor. Pipe leaked over a period of time and we ended up having to claim for a new carpet - and bear the increased cost of the insurance. I wouldn't employ mates any more for this reason and would rather pay the going rate with the peace of mind that if this happened again we would be able to submit a claim under their policy.
