Sharp corners of oven doors are dangerous

The corners of the doors of our Neff double oven are sharp and dangerous when either the top oven/grill or the main oven door are open. The corner of the lower oven door corner when open can pierce the outer skin of the adjacent fridge/freezer door and the corner of top oven door, when open, is at child's eye level.

This seems to be a common feature of many built-in ovens. Does anybody have a suggestion for making the corner of these oven doors less lethal? All I can think of is sticking a lump of Bluetak on the offending corners. Are there any clip-on protective corners covers available?

  • Quite a lot of baby safety edge/corner guards here and on other sites - not sure how they'd stand up to any heat though.
A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.
